Alumni Associations


The Alumni Association of Vidhya Sagar Women’s College was established in the year 2009. The first alumni meet saw the enthusiastic participation of around 132 former students, marking the beginning of a vibrant and engaged alumni network. Since then, the association has steadily grown and has played an active role in supporting the college’s vision and development.

The primary objective of the Alumni Association is to contribute towards enhancing the quality of education and to help the institution meet the evolving demands of a dynamic world—all while upholding strong moral and ethical standards. The association also bridges the gap between alumni and current students, facilitating mentoring opportunities, career insights, and real-world exposure for the younger generation

Leadership and Contributions

Mrs. A. Baby, Assistant Professor, served as the first Alumni Coordinator from 2009 to 2012. Her dedicated efforts laid the foundation for the development of the association and set the path for its growth.

From 2012 onwards, Mrs. B. Kalpana, Assistant Professor, took over as the Alumni Coordinator. Under her committed leadership, the association expanded its outreach and began supporting various student welfare initiatives.

Dr. Rajalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce Dr. Rekha, , Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, both of whom served as Alumni Coordinators in the subsequent years. Their efforts further strengthened alumni engagement and continuity in the association’s activities.

Many underprivileged students received scholarships and fee concessions through the Vidhya Sagar Alumni Association during their tenure.

Since 2024, the association has been headed by Mrs. R. Revathi, Professor, Department of Commerce. Under her guidance, the alumni network has become more vibrant and inclusive, further strengthening the bond between the alumni and the institution.

Annual Alumni Meet

Each year, since 2014 more than 300 alumni gather to reconnect and contribute to the growth of their alma mater. To ensure greater convenience and participation, the alumni meet has been scheduled on Sundays from 2024 onwards, making it easier for working alumni and those traveling from distant places to attend.

The most recent alumni meet, held on 9th February, witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 950 alumni taking part in the event. The meet served as a joyful reunion filled with memories, networking, and a shared commitment to the future development of the college.

The Alumni Association continues to serve as a strong bridge between past and present students, fostering a supportive community that values excellence, ethics, and shared progress.
