Fostering community engagement and social responsibility, the NSS, RRC, YRC, Rotaract, CCC, Karuna, Enviro Club, and Organic Farming units of Vidhya Sagar Women’s College organized a free Health Camp on September 1, 2024. In collaboration with Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Dental Science, Padalam, Sankara Nethralaya Eye Hospital,Chennai, Sree Renga Hospital Diabetes Research and Consultancy Centre, Chengalpattu and Sai Fertility Center and Hospital, Chengalpattu the camp provided comprehensive health services to approximately 350 local residents of Chengalpattu. The Chief Guest Dr. V. Balaji, Associate Professor, Department of General Surgery, Government Hospital and Medical College, Chengalpattu inaugurated the health camp and emphasized the significance of regular health check-ups, healthy lifestyles, and community involvement in preventing and managing diseases.The tireless efforts of the club members and student volunteers were crucial to the camp’s success. The event was honored by the presence of Shri Suresh Kankaria, Vice Chairman and Treasurer of VSI, and Dr. R. Arunadevi, the Principal of Vidhya Sagar Women’s College, who lent their support and encouragement to the initiative.
