Blood Donation Camp was organized by NSS, RRC & YRC students of Vidhya Sagar Women’s college on 30th June 2018. Mrs. V. Rama, Tahsildar, Chengalpattu was the Chief Guest. Lieutenant Commander Esan, Founder & Training Commander and Lt. Lady Cadet Annapoorani from army were the special guests. Mrs. V. Rama addressed the gathering about the importance of Blood Donation & Healthy living. Dr. Ramya, Dr. Balasubramani, Managing Director, ESSAR Blood Bank & team organized the camp. More than 150 students and staff members were the donors.
The blood donation camp continued with an awareness programme for all the II and III year students by the special guests Lieutenant Commander Esan, Founder & Training Commander and Lt. Lady Cadet Annapoorani. Lieutenant Commander Esan addressed the students about the importance of good thinking, clear speaking and noble action. He interacted with the students about patriotism. He mentioned that the people working in army, navy, air force and the rescue squad who save the life of people are our real heroes. He finally concluded that job satisfaction is more important in work. Lt. Lady Cadet Annapoorani addressed the students that there are no limitations for women to achieve, women should be bold in thinking and in action, and women should utilize their freedom properly. Finally the session ended with an interactive session with the students.
