International Conference (24.8.18)

The School of Business & School of Information Technology of Vidhya Sagar Women’s College in collaboration with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) organised an International Conference on “Social Impact of Internet of Things (IoT) – Boon or Bane” on 24th August 2018.

Shri. Sunil Gurbaxani, Executive Vice President & National Head SEG-SME in Axis Bank and Dr. S.Venkatesan, Assistant Professor, WACHEMO University Hossana, Ethiopia were the Chief Guests for the Inaugural Function.
Shri. Vikas Surana, Correspondent, Shri. Suresh Kankaria, Treasurer and Shri. B.G.Acharya, Director, Vidhya Sagar Educational Institutions introduced and honored the Chief Guests and the Conference Proceeding was released by the dignitaries.

The Technical session was conducted by Technical Experts/ Chairpersons Dr. N.Badrinath, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, Lords Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad, Dr. P Natarajan, Professor, Department of Commerce & School of Management, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry and
Shri M.A.Mohamed Sulaiman? Associate Professor, Department of Information Technology, Salalah College of Technology, Salalah, Sultanate of Oman.

Dr. M.Tamilselvan, Associate Professor, Department of Business Studies, IBRI College of Technology, Sultanate of Oman was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory and felicitated the Prize Winners of the International Conference. Dr.S.Gayathri, Assistant Professor&HOD, UG&PG Dept.of Computer Science, Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women, Chennai, Ms.M.Shalini, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Theivanaiammal College for Women, Villupuram and Ms. M.Niraimathi, Biomedical Engineer & PG Student, University of Madras, Chennai from Academicians, Research Scholars and Students category. The conference had an overwhelming response of nearly 320 Participants from various institutions from National and International Level. 80 Colleges were participated and 88 Papers were presented during the Technical Session. 72 Research Papers were published in ISBN proceedings and 30 Research Papers are selected to be published in UGC Approved International Journal.
